National Science Month Celebration

As we celebrate National Science Month, let us rekindle our sense of wonder and curiosity the very spark that drives discovery. Science is not just a collection of facts or formulas; it is a way of seeing the world with open eyes and a questioning mind. It invites us to ask why, to explore how, and to imagine what if? Today, the boundaries between imagination and reality are becoming smaller than ever. From breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and biotechnology to advances in clean energy and space exploration, science is shaping our future with incredible speed. What once seemed impossible is now within reach, powered by creativity, collaboration, and the Filipino spirit of resilience and innovation. But with great progress comes great responsibility. As we explore new frontiers, we must also ensure that science serves humanity with compassion and integrity. Every discovery must not only advance technology but also uphold ethical values, protect our environment, and promote equalit...

Climate Change

Image
In the Philippines, climate change isn’t just something we hear about on the news it’s something we live through every day. From storms that seem to come out of nowhere, to floods that leave families stranded, to the rising heat that makes life more difficult, the effects are real and constant. Yet, in spite of all this, Filipinos continue to show what it means to be resilient. You can see it after a typhoon has passed. Streets are flooded, power lines are down, and entire communities are devastated. But what’s just as certain as the disaster itself is the spirit of bayanihan the willingness of neighbors to lend a hand. Families pull together to rebuild homes, share whatever food and water they have, and give hope to each other in the hardest moments. It’s not about waiting for someone to fix things; it’s about taking the first step, together. While many of us suffer from the effects of climate change, it’s often the most vulnerable who bear the brunt. Farmers lose their crops to flood...

Intramurals

Intrams E-sports MLBB During our intramurals, I joined the E-sports event in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and it became one of the highlights of the week for me. The excitement started even before the games began because we had to practice and plan our strategies as a team. We talked about which heroes to use, how to rotate, and how to adjust depending on the enemy draft. It felt like preparing for an actual sports tournament, only that our battlefield was inside the game. When the matches started, the atmosphere was intense. Our classmates were cheering loudly, just like in basketball or volleyball games, and it gave us extra energy and confidence. Every clash, every push, and even every mistake made the experience more thrilling. I realized that E-sports is not just about playing casually, but it also requires quick thinking, coordination, and discipline to succeed. Of course, there were moments of pressure, especially when the game was close. Sometimes we argued, but in the end, we le...

Reflection

This first quarter has been a very good experience for me. I learned many new things in my subjects and enjoyed studying. I tried my best in school activities, class participation, and group projects. I also paid more attention to my teachers’ lessons and asked questions when I did not understand something. I felt proud whenever I did my assignments on time and did well in my tests. Compared to grade 9, this first quarter was different. In grade 9, I sometimes struggled to understand lessons or finish my tasks on time. I also needed more help from my teachers and classmates. But this year, I feel I am more responsible and focused. I can manage my time better, organize my tasks, and understand lessons more quickly. I also became more confident in talking in front of the class and sharing my ideas. I also learned the value of hard work and patience. Some lessons were difficult, but I did not give up. I kept trying until I understood everything. I also helped my classmates when they ...
